Privacy Policy
The short version. Your face is tracked on your phone and the camera image never leaves it. You don't make an account. Your videos stay on your phone unless you share them. We show ads through Google AdMob, and in Europe we ask for your consent before ads use your data.
Who we are
Poker Face Challenge (the "app") is made by Page One AI B.V., a company registered in the Netherlands. We are the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at support@thepokerfacechallenge.com.
What the app does with your camera
To play, the app uses your front camera. While you play, a face-tracking model runs on your phone and turns each camera frame into a set of numbers describing your expression (for example, how much you are smiling). Those numbers drive the meter.
- Camera images and facial measurements are processed only on your device.
- They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.
- We do not use your face to identify you, and we build no face template or biometric profile.
The app records the round as a video, adds the sound, meter and result, and saves it to your phone. The video only leaves your phone if you choose to share or save it somewhere else. What happens to it after that is governed by the app or service you share it with.
What we collect

We do not collect your name, phone number, contacts, location, photo library contents, or anything from other apps. The app only asks to add videos to your photo library, not to read it.
Ads
The app is free and shows ads, some of them for our own apps. Ads from other companies are served by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited in the EEA and Switzerland; Google LLC elsewhere). Google and its partners may use your device's advertising ID, IP address and device information to show and measure ads, and, with your permission, to personalise them.
- In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, the app shows Google's consent form before any ad is requested. You can change your choice at any time under Settings → Privacy choices in the app.
- On iPhone, the app asks for Apple's permission to track. If you decline, the advertising ID is not shared and ads are not personalised.
- On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Google settings.

Who we share data with
We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that process it for us under contract:
- Supabase: hosting of the game's content and round statistics.
- Google (AdMob): ads, as described above.
- Vercel: hosting of this website.
- An analytics provider, for the usage events above.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
- Round statistics are anonymous and kept for as long as they help improve the game.
- Usage events are kept for up to 26 months.
- Technical logs are kept for up to 30 days.
- Emails are kept for as long as needed to handle your question, and at most 2 years.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Because the app has no accounts, we usually can't link data to you. If you contact us, we will ask for whatever you can give us to find it (for example the date and phone you played on).
Email support@thepokerfacechallenge.com. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Deleting the app removes everything stored by the app on your phone, including any videos you have not saved elsewhere.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
This website
This website sets no cookies and has no trackers. Our host, Vercel, processes your IP address to deliver pages and keeps short-lived server logs. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app.
